So, you have finally found us! Not so secret after all…
We are a small community, with a gigantic heart! Living here is like being wrapped up in a big warm hug and located in the centre of all the attractions in South-Western Australia.
Parkwater Estate is central to everything you need. Not only do you have nature and a selection of cafe’s on your doorstep; only a few minutes down the road you are in Margaret River with a range of shops and supermarkets, 20 to 30 minutes north and you’re in Dunsborough or Busselton which have a selection of unique shopping outlets, high-end retail, you also have large retailers within close approximately…and lets not forget the local produce markets dotted around the region!

Imagine living amongst nature… being woken up to black cockatoos at your bedroom window – it is truly delightful!
In the mornings take a stroll through one of the many walking trails amongst the National Trust forest and where you will regularly encounter kangaroos cockatoos, red-capped and ringneck parrots, blue wren and a wide variety of wildflowers.
During the day the forest creates it’s own microclimate and regulates the temperature for you and your wildlife sanctuary, it provides shade and serenity for the residents and of course producers the cleanest oxygen one can wish for to support the wildlife and your family. As the sun goes down the forest turns and magical golden colour with the wildlife singing in frolicking in the sun’s rays whilst you sit on your deck admiring the view, watching the children play in nature, whilst sipping on a glass of award-winning local wine from your favourite winery just around the corner.
On Saturday morning the kids don’t have school so you decide to take them down to the local beach for a swim, surf and play. There are a number of different beaches within 20 minutes, so the most difficult part of your day comes down to making a decision – do you want the flat ocean, some gentle waves, rock pools or views!?
After the morning at your favourite beach, followed by the kids range of sporting activities, you decide to go exploring around the many award-winning wineries and breweries in search of your lunch. With so many options on your doorstep which one do you choose? Perhaps it’s different spot each week, and at the end of a couple of years living here, you can select your favourite!
Once the kids have embodied enough knowledge at one of the many fantastic schools in the region, it’s time to get outdoors with them! With local team sporting events individual sports Mountain biking cycling tennis cricket are culture surfing kayaking canoeing boating fishing snorkelling or just investigating the wildlife, what would you and your family choose to do?
Perhaps you decide to get involved with local community activities including; the Cowaramup Community Gardens, volunteering for the National Trust, helping at the community fairs and events, the community men’s shed (which also attracts a number of women), planting trees or starting your own community event.
After all that is done, come and meet the locals! – wander down and join us down at the Community club where there is great food and refreshments, social activities and simply a great place for locals to hang out!
